Global Ship Lease, Inc. is a containership charter owner. The Company owns approximately 17 vessels with a total capacity of about 66,349 twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU). The Company is a containership lessor focused on providing time chartered vessels, predominantly in the term charter market. The Company’s containerized supply chain extends throughout the world in Asia, North America and Europe. It containerizes break-bulk goods, including refrigerated cargoes, and outsources manufacturing from Europe and North America. Its vessels operate in governing the management and disposal of hazardous substances and wastes, the cleanup of oil spills and other contamination, air emissions, and water discharges and ballast water. Its fleet consists of around 18 containerships, with a combined capacity of about 74,412 TEU. Its vessels include Ville d'Orion, Ville d’Aquarius, CMA CGM Matisse, CMA CGM Utrillo, Delmas Keta, Julie Delmas, CMA CGM Alcazar and CMA CGM Chateau d’If, among others.
