IMAX Corporation is an entertainment technology company. The Company is specialized in immersive motion picture technologies. The Company has a theatrical distribution platform for event Hollywood films around the world. The IMAX theatre network delivers cinematic presentations using IMAX, IMAX 3D, and IMAX DMR technology. The Company�s principal businesses include the design and manufacture of theater systems (IMAX theater systems) and the sale, lease or contribution of those systems to customers under theater arrangements, and Digital Re-Mastering of films into the IMAX format and the exhibition of those films in the IMAX theater network. IMAX theatres are located in commercial multiplexes as well as some of the educational institutions and destination entertainment centers around the world. The Company operates 837 IMAX theatres located in 57 countries.
