Description

World Fuel Services Corporation is a global fuel logistics company. Its aviation segment offers fuel and related services to commercial airlines, second and third-tier airlines, cargo carriers, carriers, airports, fixed-based operators, corporate fleets, fractional operators, private aircraft, military fleets and to the United States and foreign governments. Its marine segment offers fuel and related services to a base of marine customers, including international container and tanker fleets, commercial cruise lines, yachts and time-charter operators, as well as to the United States and foreign governments. Its land segment offers fuel and related services to petroleum distributors operating in the land transportation market, retail petroleum operators, and industrial and government customers. In September 2012, its wholly owned subsidiary, World Fuel Services, Inc., acquired the assets of CarterEnergy Corporation. In January 2013, it acquired the assets of Multi Service Corporation.
