KUBOTA CORPORATION is a manufacturer of farm equipment, engines and construction machinery. The Company is also a producer of various pipe-related products, principally ductile iron pipes and environment-related products, such as environmental plants. In addition, the Company manufactures and sells industrial castings, welded steel pipes, vending machines, electronic-equipped machinery and air-conditioning equipment. It operates through four business segments: Machinery, Water & Environment Systems, Social Infrastructure and Other. As of March 31, 2012, Kubota had 150 subsidiaries and 20 associated companies. On April 27, 2012, the Company completed the acquisition of 99.12 % of the shares of Kverneland ASA. On May 8, 2012, the Company completed the fully acquisition of of Kverneland ASA. On November 30, 2012, the Company acquired a Japan-based company, which is engaged in environment engineering business, from TODA KOGYO CORP.
