AllianzGI Equity and Convertible Income Fund, formerly AllianzGI Equity & Convertible Income Fund, is a diversified, closed-end management investment company. The Fund�s investment objective is to seek total return consisted of capital appreciation, current income and gains, with a secondary objective of long-term capital appreciation. Under normal market conditions the Fund pursues its investment objectives by investing in a diversified portfolio of dividend-paying common stocks and income-producing convertible securities. The Fund also employs a strategy of writing (selling) call options on equity indexes. Allianz Global Investors Fund Management LLC serves as the Funds� investment manager and is an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Allianz Asset Management of America L.P.
