Nuveen New York Municipal Value Fund, Inc. (the Fund) is a closed-end management investment company. The Fund seeks to provide current income exempt from both regular federal and New York state income taxes by investing primarily in a portfolio of municipal obligations issued by state and local government authorities within the state of New York or certain United States territories. The Fund invests 80% of its net assets in New York municipal obligations rated at the time of purchase within the four highest grades (Baa or BBB or better). The fund may invest up to 20% of its net assets in unrated New York municipal obligations which are of comparable quality and up to 10% of its assets in or in New York municipal obligations rated Ba or BB at the time of purchase. The adviser of the Fund is Nuveen Asset Management (NAM), which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Nuveen Investments, Inc. (Nuveen).
