Description

Northeast Utilities (NU) is a public utility holding company. The Company is engaged in the energy delivery business through its wholly owned utility subsidiaries, which include The Connecticut Light and Power Company, a regulated electric utility that serves residential, commercial and industrial customers in parts of Connecticut; Public Service Company of New Hampshire, a regulated electric utility that serves residential, commercial and industrial customers in parts of New Hampshire and owns generation assets used to serve customers; Western Massachusetts Electric Company, a regulated electric utility that serves residential, commercial and industrial customers in parts of western Massachusetts and owns solar generating assets, and Yankee Gas Services Company, a regulated natural gas utility that serves residential, commercial and industrial customers. It operates in three segments: electric distribution segment, natural gas distribution segment and electric transmission segment.
