Pacific Drilling is primarily focused on the ultra-deepwater market. Although it is primarily focused on the ultra-deepwater market, its drillships can also operate in water depths as shallow as 1,000 feet. Pacific Drilling�s fleet will operate in a single, global market for the provision of contract drilling services to the deepwater exploration and production industry. It was formed to act as an indirect holding company for its predecessor, Pacific Drilling Limited (its Predecessor), and its subsidiaries. On March 30, 2011, it completed its corporate reorganization.
