Plains Exploration & Production Company (PXP) is an independent energy company engaged in the upstream oil and gas business. The upstream business acquires, develops, explores for and produces oil and gas. The Company’s Gulf of Mexico portfolio includes the Holstein, Horn Mountain, Marlin, Dorado and King Fields, the Ram Powell Field and the Diana and Hoover Fields. The Company’s Gulf coast region operates two projects namely Eagle Ford Shale and Haynesville Shale. The Company operates two projects in the Rocky mountain region, namely Wind River Basin and Big Horn Basin.
