Description

SM Energy Company (SM Energy) is an independent energy company. The Company is engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development, and production of crude oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids (referred to as oil, gas, and NGLs) in onshore North America. The Company’s operations are focused on four operating areas in the United States. As of December 31, 2013, SM Energy has working interests in approximately 1,061 gross (634 net) productive oil wells and 2,293 gross (916 net) productive gas wells. All of its drilling and completion activities are conducted using independent drilling contractors. As of December 31, 2013, it has approximately 219.9 million barrels of oil equivalent of proved undeveloped reserves. The Company has operation in South Texas & Gulf Coast Region, Rocky Mountain Region, Permian Region and in Mid-Continent Region.
