The Banking segment is engaged in the deposit, loan, securities transaction, securities investment, domestic and foreign exchange, bond fiduciary and registration, trust, security investment trust and insurance over-the-counter sales business. The Securities segment is involved in the securities business. The Leasing segment mainly offers leasing services through Sumitomo Mitsui Finance & Leasing Company Limited and Sumitomo Mitsui Auto Service Company Limited, as well as SMBC Leasing and Finance, Inc. The Credit Card segment conducts credit card business. The Others segment is engaged in venture capital, operation consulting, membership, loan, system development, information processing, investment adviser and other businesses. On April 1, 2012, the Company fully acquired Promise Co., Ltd. On June 29, 2012, the Company sold ORIX Credit Corporation.
