Description

Sensata Technologies Holding N.V. (Sensata) is a subsidiary of Sensata Investment Company S.C.A. (SCA). Its wholly owned subsidiaries include Sensata Technologies Intermediate Holding B.V. and Sensata Technologies B.V. (STBV). Sensata is an industrial technology company, is engaged in the development, manufacture and sale of sensors and controls. It produces a range of sensors and controls for mission-critical applications, such as thermal circuit breakers in aircraft, pressure sensors in automotive systems, and bimetal current and temperature control devices in electric motors. Its sensors are customized devices, which translates a physical phenomenon, such as force or position into electronic signals. Its controls are customized devices embedded within systems to protect them from heat or current. On January 28, 2011, the Company acquired the Automotive on Board sensors business of Honeywell International Inc. On August 1, 2011, the Company acquired Sensor-NITE Group Companies.
