StoneMor Partners L.P. owns and operates cemeteries in the United States. As of December 31, 2011, the Company operated 274 cemeteries in 26 states and Puerto Rico. The Company owns 253 of these cemeteries, and it operates the remaining 21 under management or operating agreements with the cemetery corporations that own the cemeteries. As of December 31, 2011, it also owned and operated 69 funeral homes in 18 states and Puerto Rico. 39 of these funeral homes are located on the grounds of the cemeteries that it owns. It operates in five segments: Cemetery Operations-Southeast, Cemetery Operations-Northeast, Cemetery Operations-West, Funeral Homes, and Corporate. In January 2011, it purchased three cemeteries in North Carolina. In October 2011, it acquired three cemeteries and three funeral homes in Tennessee. During the year ended December 31, 2011, it acquired another 17 cemeteries and 12 funeral homes. On December 30, 2011, it sold one funeral home in West Virginia.
