Sun Communities, Inc. is a self-administered and self-managed real estate investment trust (REIT). The Company is a fully integrated real estate company which, together with its affiliates and predecessors, has been in the business of acquiring, operating, developing and expanding manufactured housing and recreational vehicle (RV) communities. The Company leases individual parcels of land (sites) with utility access for placement of manufactured homes and RVs to its customers. It is also engaged through a subsidiary, Sun Home Services, Inc., (SHS), in the marketing, selling, and leasing of new and pre-owned homes to current and future residents in its communities. On February 8, 2013, the Company acquired 10 RV communities and associated assets.
