Triangle Capital Corporation is a specialty finance company. The Company is engaged in providing customized financing to lower middle market companies located in the United States. The Company offers a variety of investment structures, with a focus on mezzanine financing with equity components for lower middle market companies. The Company�s investment objective is to seek attractive returns by generating current income from debt investments and capital appreciation from equity related investments. The Company invests primarily in subordinated debt securities secured by second lien security interests in portfolio company assets, coupled with equity interests. The Company also invests in senior debt securities secured by first lien security interests in portfolio companies. The Company offers a variety of financing structures and has the flexibility to structure investments to meet the needs of portfolio companies.
