Description

Telephone and Data Systems, Inc. (TDS) is a diversified telecommunications service company with wireless operations provided by its 84%-owned subsidiary, United States Cellular Corporation (U.S. Cellular) and wireline operations provided by the Company�s wholly owned subsidiary, TDS Telecommunications Corporation (TDS Telecom). As of December 31, 2011, TDS served 5.9 million United States Cellular customers and 1.1 million TDS Telecom equivalent access lines. U.S. Cellular and TDS Telecom provided approximately 84% and 15%, respectively, of TDS� consolidated revenues during the year ended December 31, 2011. TDS operates in three segments: U.S. Cellular�s wireless operations; TDS Telecom�s Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier (ILEC) wireline operations and TDS Telecom�s Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) wireline operations. During the year ended December 31, 2011, TDS acquired a Hosted and Managed Services company.
