Description

Telephone and Data Systems, Inc. is a diversified telecommunications company. The Company conducts its Wireless operations through its subsidiary, United States Cellular Corporation (U.S. Cellular). It provides Wireline services, cable services and hosted and managed services, through its subsidiary, TDS Telecommunications Corporation (TDS Telecom). Its segments include U.S. Cellular, Wireline, Cable, and Hosted and Managed Services (HMS). It provides these services to approximately 4.9 million Wireless customers and 1.2 million Wireline and cable connections. The Company's operations also include the subsidiary Suttle-Straus, Inc. (Suttle-Straus). TDS Telecom provides broadband, video and voice services to approximately 1.2 million connections in over 40 states. The Company provides a range of information technology (IT) services, including colocation, cloud computing, hosted application management, and sales of IT hardware and related professional services through its HMS business.
