Torchmark Corporation (Torchmark) is an insurance holding company. The Company�s subsidiaries are American Income Life Insurance Company (American Income), Liberty National Life Insurance Company (Liberty), Globe Life And Accident Insurance Company (Globe), and United American Insurance Company (United American). Torchmark�s insurance subsidiaries write a range of non-participating ordinary life insurance products. These include traditional and interest sensitive whole-life insurance, term life insurance, and other life insurance. The Company operates in three segments: life insurance, health insurance, and annuities. Life insurance products include traditional and interest-sensitive whole life insurance, as well as term life insurance. Health products are guaranteed-renewable and include Medicare Supplement, Medicare Part D, cancer, accident and long-term care. On November 1, 2012, the Company acquired Family Heritage Life Insurance Company of America (Family Heritage).
