Description

Tootsie Roll Industries, Inc., along with its subsidiaries, is engaged in the manufacture and sale of confectionery products. The Company’s products are marketed and sold in packages in different types of retail outlets. They are distributed through about 30 candy and grocery brokers and by the Company itself to approximately 4,000 customers. The customers include wholesale distributors of candy and groceries, supermarkets, variety stores, dollar stores, chain grocers, drug chains, discount chains, cooperative grocery associations, mass merchandise, warehouse and membership club stores, vending machine operators, the United States military and fund-raising charitable organizations. The Company sells its products in the United States and Mexico under the brand names Tootsie Roll, Tootsie Roll Pops, Child’s Play, Caramel Apple Pops, Charms, Blow-Pop, Charms Mini Pops, cella’s, Mason Dots, Mason Crows, Junior Mints, Charleston Chew, and Sugar Daddy, among others.
