Trinity Industries, Inc. (Trinity) is a multi-industry company, which owns a range of businesses, which provides products and services to the industrial, energy, transportation, and construction sectors. As a multi-industry company, it manufactures and sells a range of products through a range of product lines, including Railcars and railcar parts in addition to leasing railcars to customers through its integrated business model, which includes a leasing business, Trinity Industries Leasing Company (TILC); Inland barges; Structural wind towers; Highway products; Concrete and aggregates; Tank containers, and Steel parts and components. The Company operates in five segments: Rail Group; Railcar Leasing and Management Services Group; Construction Products Group; Inland Barge Group, and Energy Equipment Group. During the year ended December 31, 2011, the Company completed four acquisitions and one divestiture in the Construction Products Group.
