CVR Partners, LP is a Delaware limited partnership formed by CVR Energy to own and operate its nitrogen fertilizer business. The Company produces and distributes nitrogen fertilizer products, which are used primarily by farmers to improve the yield and quality of their crops. The Company�s principal products are ammonia and urea ammonium nitrate (UAN). The Company�s facility includes a 1,225 ton-per-day ammonia unit, a 2,025 ton-per-day UAN unit and a gasifier complex with built-in redundancy having a capacity of 84 million standard cubic feet per day of hydrogen. During the year ended December 31, 2012, it produced 390,017 tons of ammonia, of which approximately 68% was upgraded into 643,813 tons of UAN.The Company sells ammonia to agricultural and industrial customers.
