Description

UNIVERSAL HEALTH SERVICES, INC., owns and operates through its subsidiaries, acute care hospitals, behavioral heal centers, surgical hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers and radiation oncology centers. As of February 27, 2014, the Company owned and operated 24 acute care hospitals and 193 behavioral health centers located in 37 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. As part of its ambulatory treatment centers division, we manage and own outright or in partnerships with physicians, five surgical hospitals and surgery and radiation oncology centers located in four states. Services provided by the company hospitals include general and specialty surgery, internal medicine, obstetrics, emergency room care, radiology, oncology, diagnostic care, coronary care, pediatric services, pharmacy services and behavioral health services.
