Description

Aqua America, Inc. (Aqua America) is the holding company for regulated utilities providing water or wastewater services in Pennsylvania, Texas, North Carolina, Ohio, Illinois, New Jersey, New York, Florida, Indiana, Virginia, Maine, and Georgia. Its other subsidiaries provide services in 11 other states. In August 2012, the Company announced that its Virginia subsidiary, Aqua Virginia, Inc., acquired the water system assets of Fox Run Water Co., Inc. and Moseley-Nash Enterprises, Inc. In March 2013, it announced that its Pennsylvania and Virginia subsidiaries acquired water and wastewater assets in two separate transactions. In March 2013, Aqua Pennsylvania, Inc. acquired the water and wastewater system assets of Total Environmental Solutions, Inc. In March 2013, the Company announced that it has completed the sale of 57 water systems and 23 wastewater systems in 12 counties in Florida to the Florida Governmental Utility Authority (FGUA).
