EXCO Resources, Inc. (EXCO Resources) is an independent oil and natural gas company engaged in the exploration, exploitation, development and production of onshore United States oil and natural gas properties with a focus on shale resource plays. The Company’s operations are conducted in the United States oil and natural gas areas, including Texas, Louisiana and the Appalachia region. The Company conducts a most of its operations through joint ventures with third parties, principally BG Group, plc, Harbinger Group Inc. and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P. The East Texas/North Louisiana region primarily consists of its Haynesville and Bossier shale assets. The South Texas region primarily consists of the Company’s Eagle Ford shale assets. The Appalachia region primarily consists of Marcellus shale assets as well as shallow conventional assets in other formations. The Permian region consists of properties in the Permian Basin.
