Alexco Resource Corp. (Alexco) is in the process of mining, exploring and developing its mineral properties. Alexco operates two businesses: a mining business, consists of mineral exploration and mine development and operation in Canada, primarily in Yukon Territory; and through Alexco Environmental Group division an environmental services business, providing consulting and project management services in respect of environmental permitting and compliance and site remediation and reclamation, in Canada, the United States and elsewhere in the Americas. Its mining business activities are divided into two segments: the Bellekeno mine operations, and general mineral exploration and development. Other non-material mineral property interests of it include the Sprogge and Harlan properties in the Yukon, and certain net smelter return royalties in respect of the Ida-Oro property in the Yukon and the Telegraph Creek, Iskut River, Kiniskan Lake and Manson Creek properties in British Columbia.
