Description

CompX International Inc. is a manufacturer of security products, precision ball bearing slides and ergonomic computer support systems used in the office furniture, transportation, postal, tool storage, appliance and a variety of other industries. The Company is also a manufacturer of stainless steel exhaust systems, gauges, and throttle controls for the marine industry. The Company operates in three segments: Security Products, Furniture Components and Marine Components. It manufactures engineered components that are sold to a variety of industries, including office furniture, recreational transportation (including boats), mailboxes, toolboxes, home appliances, banking equipment, vending equipment and computer-related equipment. In July 2011, the Company acquired 100% interest in Canadian ergonomic component products company.
