Description
The Gorman-Rupp Company (Gorman-Rupp) manufactures and globally sells pumps and related equipment (pump and motor controls) for use in water, wastewater, construction, industrial, petroleum, original equipment, agriculture, fire protection, heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC), military and other liquid-handling applications. Pumps that the Company produces include self priming centrifugal, magnetic drive centrifugal, axial and mixed flow, vertical turbine line shaft, submersible, high pressure booster, rotary gear, diaphragm, bellows and oscillating. During the year ended December 31, 2012, the Company acquired South Africa-based Pumptron (Proprietary) Limited (Pumptron) and Texas-based American Turbine Pump companies (American Turbine) which complement and broaden its osubsidiary, National Pump Company purchased the business of American Turbine Pump Companies.
