Asanko Gold Inc. (Asanko) is a Canada-based exploration-stage mining company. The Company’s focus is on near-term gold production through the development of its Asanko Gold Mine (AGM), in Ghana, West Africa. The Company’s Asanko Gold Mine, located in Ghana, West Africa, is being developed in phases. It is wholly owned by Asanko, with a 10% free carried interest held by the Government of Ghana. The AGM’s global resource base is 7.9 million ounces (Moz) of measured and indicated resources, including 4.9 Moz of proven and probable reserves, as of November 21, 2014. The Phase 1 of development involves mining the Nkran pit and four satellite deposits, Abore, Asuadai, Dynamite Hill and Adubiaso. In all, the AGM consists of six open pit deposits, including the Esaase deposit.
