Description

Northern Oil and Gas, Inc., is an independent energy company. The Company is engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development and production of oil and natural gas properties, in the Bakken and Three Forks formations within the Williston Basin in North Dakota and Montana. The Company’s primary focus is oil exploration and production through non-operated working interests in wells drilled and completed in spacing units that include its acreage. The Company engages in oil and natural gas exploration and production by participating on a proportionate basis alongside third-party interests in wells drilled and completed in spacing units that include its acreage. In 2013, the Company participated in the drilling and completion of 531 gross (40.0 net) wells in the Williston Basin. The Company owned working interests in 1,758 gross (146.2 net) producing wells, consisting of 1,754 wells targeting the Bakken and Three Forks formations and four exploratory wells targeting other formations.
