Saratoga Resources, Inc (Saratoga Resources) is an independent oil and natural gases company engaged in the production, development, acquisition and exploitation of crude oil and natural gas properties. The Company's properties are located in the transitional coastline in protected in-bay environments on parish and state leases in south Louisiana. Its properties span 12 fields including Grand Bay field and over 250 million barrels of crude oil equivalent (MMBoe) produced . Most of its properties offer multiple stacked reservoir objectives with behind pipe potential. As of December 31, 2011, its total proved reserves were 19.0 MMBoe, consisting of 8.0 one million barrels of oil or other liquid hydrocarbons (MMBbls)of oil and 66.0 one billion cubic feet of natural gas (Bcf) of natural gas. In September 2013, it acquired two new leases at the Louisiana state lease sale. In November 2013, it acquired the 212.41 acre Little Bay lease at the Louisiana state lease sale in Baton Rouge.
