Southern Connecticut Bancorp, Inc. is a bank holding company. The Company owns 100% interest in The Bank of Southern Connecticut (the Bank), a Connecticut-chartered bank, and 100% interest in SCB Capital, Inc. As of December 31, 2010, the Bank operated branches at four locations, including downtown New Haven, the Amity/Westville section of New Haven, Branford and North Haven. The Company serves the Greater New Haven Market, which consists of the communities located in and around New Haven County in Southern Central Connecticut. The Bank provides a range of other services and products, including cashier�s checks, money orders, travelers� checks, bank-by-mail, direct deposit and the United States Savings Bonds.
