OMV Aktiengesellschaft (OMV) an Austria-based integrated oil and gas company. Its core business segments comprise exploration and production, refining and marketing, including petrochemicals and gas, as well as gas and power. The Company produces about 321,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boe/d), and its proved reserves are approximately 1.2 billion barrels of oil equivalent (bn boe). Its refining capacity is 25.8 million tons (mn t), and it operates a network of more than 2,500 filling stations in 13 Central and Southeastern European countries. OMV transports approximately 66 billion cubic meters (bcm) gas to Western Europe per year and operates gas storage facilities with a capacity of around 2.3 bcm. Its gas sales total over 13 bcm per year. In August 2008, the Company acquired a 60% interest in electricity provider and producer Borasco Elektrik Ueretim Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. In March 2009, OMV Aktiengesellschaft sold its 21.2% stake in MOL to Surgutneftegas OAO.
