Orvana Minerals Corp. (Orvana) is engaged in the evaluation, development and mining of precious and base metals deposits in the Americas. It owns and operates the Don Mario Mine in eastern Bolivia. Through its subsidiary, Empresa Minera Paititi S.A., it owns and operates the lower mineralized zone of the Don Mario Mine in eastern Bolivia. The Don Mario property comprises 11 mineral concessions covering 53,900 hectares. Orvana holds certain joint venture interests in a number of mineral concessions located in the Altiplano region of Bolivia, as well as a small net smelter return royalty interest in the Central Inlier property in Jamaica. In September and October 2008, through its subsidiary, Orvana Resources US Corp., Orvana entered into minerals leases covering 712 hectares within the Western Syncline, which is located in the Upper Peninsula of the State of Michigan (Copperwood Project). In September 2009, its subsidiary, Orvana Minerals Acquisition Corp., acquired Kinbauri Gold Corp.
