SeaDrill Limited is a Bermuda-based company active within the offshore drilling industry. As of December 31, 2008 it had interest in 43 drilling units, out of which 11 are under construction, including a fleet of drillships, semi-submersible rigs; jack-ups, and shallow and deep-water tender rigs. The drilling units are deployed worldwide with operations concentrated in the northern Europe, West Africa, South-East Asia and North and South America. Additionally, the Company provides platform drilling, well intervention as well as engineering services through a 74%-owned company Seawell Limited. SeaDrill Limited is operational internationally through its subsidiaries. In October 2007, the Company sold a 32% interest in the Indonesian drilling company, PT Apexindo Pratama Duta Tbk.
