Placer Gold Corp., formerly Arctic Oil & Gas Corp., is a gold exploration venture company engaged in the identification, acquisition, exploration and development of mining prospects, which are considered to have gold mineralization. The Company has options to acquire granted State Waters leases in Nome, Alaska covering approximately 2,200 acres and Denali, North Alaska, covering approximately 2,200 acres containing gold mineralization. Through the Company’s joint venture (JV) agreement with RE Shell Trust/Concha Holdings, the Company has a JV agreement over a lease application for the right to mine 720 square miles of federal waters offshore Nome Alaska. The Norton Sound Oceanic Placer Gold Project is located 3-12 miles west of the city and port of Nome, Alaska. Shell Alaska Mining Trust, holds 2,200 acres of State of Alaska offshore leases southwest of Nome.
