Description

Anixter International Inc. is engaged in the distribution of communications and security products, electrical wire and cable products, fasteners and small parts through Anixter Inc. and its subsidiaries (collectively Anixter). During the year ended December 30, 2011, 52.8% of the Company�s sales were to the enterprise cabling and security market, 31.7% were to the electrical and electronic wire and cable market, and 15.5% were fasteners and other small parts sold to the original equipment manufacturing (OEM) market. During 2011, the Company derived 57.8% of its sales from the United States, 18.7% from Europe, 12.2% from Canada and 11.3% from Emerging Markets (Asia Pacific and Latin America). In August 26, 2011, the Company sold Aerospace Hardware business (Aerospace). In July 2012, the Company acquired Jorvex, S.A.
