Grande Cache Coal Corporation (Grande Cache Coal) is operating a mine, which produces metallurgical coal for the steel industry from its coal leases covering approximately 22,700 hectares in the Smoky River Coalfield located in west central Alberta. The Company�s principal product is hard coking coal. Its underground operations, pits and process facilities are located within its coal mining lease blocks in the Grande Cache area of West Central Alberta, approximately 400 kilometers west of the city of Edmonton. The coal project (Project) includes the development of the pits and underground operations, which include No. 7 Underground Operations, No. 8 Pit, No. 12 South B2 Underground Operations, No. 12 South B2 Underground Operations, No. 12 South A Pit, No. 2 Pit, No. 16 Pit and No. 12 North Pit. In March 2012, the Company 1629835 Alberta Ltd. acquired Grande Cache Coal Corporation.
