Impala Platinum Holdings Limited is a producer of platinum and associated platinum group metals (PGMs). The Company's segments include Mining segment, Impala Refining Services, Chrome processing and Other. The Company's Mining segment includes Impala, Zimplats, Marula and Afplats. The Company has six operating units: Impala, Zimplats, Marula, Mimosa, Two Rivers and Impala Refining Services. Impala is its primary operational unit and has operations situated on the Impala lease area on the western limb of the world-renowned Bushveld Complex near Rustenburg, and in Springs, east of Johannesburg. Zimplats operates approximately four shallow mechanized underground mines and two concentrators at Ngezi. The Selous Metallurgical Complex (SMC) is located approximately 77 kilometers north of the mine, comprises a concentrator and a smelter. Its Ngezi operation is located on the Hartley Geological Complex on the Zimbabwean Great Dyke approximately 150 kilometers south-west of Harare.
