Impala Platinum Holdings Limited is principally engaged in business of producing and supplying platinum group metals (PGMs) to industrial economies. The Company produces approximately 22% of the world�s supply of primary platinum. As of June 30, 2013, the Company produced 3.233 million ounces of PGMs, including 1.582 million ounces of platinum. The Company owns 73% interest in Marula. Marula is located in the Limpopo province, some 50 kilometers north of Burgersfort. Impala, the Company 100%-owned primary operational unit, has operations situated on the western limb of the Bushveld Complex near Rustenburg in South Africa. Mimosa is jointly held by the Company and Aquarius Platinum Limited (Aquarius). Its operations are located on the Wedza Geological Complex on the Zimbabwean Great Dyke, 150 kilometers east of Bulawayo. The operation consists if a shallow underground mine, accessed by a decline shaft, and a concentrator.
