PowerShares MENA Frontier Countries Portfolio (the Fund) is an exchange-traded fund (ETF) based on the NASDAQ OMX Middle East North Africa Index (the Index). The Index seeks to provide direct exposure to liquid stocks of companies that have the majority of their assets or services residing in Middle East and North Africa frontier market countries, which may include Egypt, Morocco, Oman, Lebanon, Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates (the Index includes the emirates of Dubai and Abu Dhabi). The Fund’s investment advisor is Invesco PowerShares Capital Management LLC.
