Description

Power Integrations, Inc. designs, develops, manufactures and markets high-voltage, analog integrated circuits (ICs). The Company’s ICs are used in electronic power supplies, also known as switched-mode power supplies or switchers. The Company’s products include TOPSwitch, TinySwitch, LinkSwitch, HiperPLC and DPA-Switch. The vast majority of the Company’s ICs are used in alternate current (AC)-direct current (DC) switchers, although it also targets certain high-voltage DC-DC applications, such as power over Ethernet (PoE). It generally targets power supply applications in markets, such as the communications market, the consumer market, the computer market and the industrial market. On December 31, 2007, the Company acquired Potentia Semiconductor Corporation.
