Prosperity Bancshares, Inc. is a financial holding company that operates through its bank subsidiary, Prosperity Bank (the Bank). The Bank provides a line of financial products and services to small and medium-sized businesses and consumers. As of December 31, 2008, the Bank operated 168 full-service banking locations and one loan production office, with 53 in the Greater Houston Consolidated Metropolitan Statistical Area (CMSA); 27 in the South Texas area, including Corpus Christi and Victoria; 43 in the Central Texas area, including Austin and Bryan/College Station; 21 in East Texas; 24 in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area. The Greater Houston CMSA includes Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Montgomery, San Jacinto and Waller counties.
