PowerShares Cleantech Portfolio (the Fund) seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield, before the Fund’s fees and expenses, of the Cleantech Index (the Index). The Index is designed to track cleantech companies from a range of industries, including alternative energy, energy efficiency and transmission, air and water purification, advanced materials, ecofriendly agriculture, transportation, manufacturing efficiency, recycling and pollution prevention. The Index is a modified equally weighted index consisting of stocks of publicly traded cleantech companies and American depository receipts (ADRs) based on such stocks. The Fund’s investment advisor is Invesco PowerShares Capital Management LLC.
