Description

Peoples Bancorp Inc. is a United States-based financial holding company engaged in banking, investment, insurance, and trust solutions. The Company operates principally through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Peoples Bank, National Association (Peoples Bank). Peoples Bank's operating subsidiaries include Peoples Insurance Agency, LLC (Peoples Insurance) and PBNA, L.L.C., an asset management company. The Company functions under two main activities: lending activities and investment activities. Under lending activities, the Company through its subsidiary, Peoples Bank, originates loans, including commercial and commercial real estate loans, real estate construction loans, residential real estate loans, home equity lines of credit, and consumer loans. Under investment activities, the Company employs excess funds; provides source of liquid assets; provide eligible securities to secure public and trust funds; and earns returns commensurate with the investment's risk and corporate needs.
