Students with scholarly and presidential ambitions dream of attending to Harvard. The oldest institution of higher learning in the US, Harvard University is organized into 10 faculties that oversee more than a dozen graduate and undergraduate colleges and schools, including the Harvard Business, Law, and Medical schools. It also includes the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, which was created when Radcliffe College and Harvard University merged in 1999. Harvard has about 21,000 students -- two-thirds of whom are enrolled in graduate or professional programs -- and 2,100 faculty members. Harvard's endowment of some $30 billion is the largest of any university in the world.
