Quest Capital Corp. (Quest) provides real estate mortgage financings in Canada. Quest’s borrowers include owners of multi-unit residential buildings, land and commercial properties. The Company’s primary focus is managing the collections efforts on its loans. Quest generates revenues through interest it receives on its loan portfolio. Quest, through its wholly owned subsidiary QC Services Inc., also engages in the syndication of loans where deemed appropriate by its management, on a pari passu basis, pursuant to which QC Services Inc. receives fees. The Company is registered as a mortgage broker. Quest owns indirectly 75% interest in the Castle Mountain property, located in California. The mortgages Quest invests in are generally of a short-term nature with terms of less than two years. In December 2007, Quest reorganized its business, operations and assets in order to qualify as a mortgage investment corporation (MIC).
