Description

Rentrak Corporation operates in two business segment: Pay-Per-Transaction (PPT) Division and Advanced Media and Information (AMI) Division, as well as the non-operating Other Division. Its PPT Division focuses on managing its business operations that facilitate the delivery of home entertainment content products (DVDs, Blu-ray Discs, etc.) and related rental and sales information for the content to home video specialty stores and other retailers, on a revenue sharing basis. The Company lease product from various suppliers, motion picture studios. Under its PPT System, PPT retailers sublease that product and rent it to consumers. Its AMI Division concentrates on the management and growth of its Essentials Suite of business information services. Its Essentials Suite software and services, offered primarily on a recurring subscription basis, provide data collection, management, analysis and reporting functions, resulting in business information valuable to its clients.
