Rock-Tenn Company (Rock-Tenn) is a manufacturer of packaging products, paperboard and merchandising displays. The Company operates in four segments: consumer packaging, corrugated packaging, merchandising displays and specialty paperboard products. In the consumer packaging segment, the Company manufactures folding cartons. In the corrugated packaging segment, Rock-Tenn manufactures linerboard and corrugated medium (containerboard), corrugated sheets, corrugated packaging and preprinted linerboard for sale to industrial and consumer products manufacturers and corrugated box manufacturers. In the merchandising displays segment, it manufactures temporary and permanent point-of-purchase displays. In the specialty paperboard products segment Rock-Tenn produces paperboard for its converting operations (including its solid fiber interior packaging locations). On March 5, 2008, Rock-Tenn completed the acquisition of Southern Container Corp.
