Open Joint Stock Company (OJSC) Oil Company Rosneft (Rosneft), along with its subsidiaries, is engaged in exploration, development, production and sale of crude oil and gas and refining, transportation and sale of petroleum products in the Russian Federation and in certain international markets. The Company’s exploration and production segment is engaged in field exploration, and development and production of crude oil and natural gas. Its refinery, marketing and distribution segment is engaged in processing crude oil and other hydrocarbons into petroleum products, as well as purchasing, sale and transportation of crude oil and petroleum products. The other activities segment consists of drilling services, construction services, banking and finance services, and other activities. The Company conducts exploration and production activities in hydrocarbon regions of Russia, which include West Siberia, Southern and Central Russia, Timan-Pechora, East Siberia, and the Far East.
