Description

Riverbed Technology, Inc. (Riverbed) has developed a solution to the fundamental problems of wide-area distributed computing. The Company’s Steelhead products enable its customers to improve the performance of their applications and access to their data across wide area networks (WANs), typically increasing transmission speeds by 5 to 50 times and in some cases by up to 100 times. Riverbed sells its products and supports directly through its sales force and indirectly through distribution partners, including value-added resellers (VARs). Its Steelhead products are used at both ends of a WAN connection. This product address a range of software applications across networks of all sizes and address the wide-area distributed computing needs of every industry. In February 2009, the Company completed its acquisition of Mazu Networks, Inc. (Mazu). Mazu helps organizations manage, secure and optimize the availability and performance of global applications.
