Piedmont Office Realty Trust, Inc. (Piedmont) is a real estate investment trust (REIT). Piedmont is engages in the acquisition and ownership of commercial real estate properties throughout the United States, including properties that are under construction, newly constructed, or have operating histories. It conducts business primarily through Piedmont Operating Partnership, L.P. (Piedmont OP), a limited partnership, as well as performing the management of its buildings through two wholly owned subsidiaries, Piedmont Government Services, LLC and Piedmont Office Management, LLC. Piedmont is the sole general partner of Piedmont OP. Piedmont OP owns properties directly, through wholly owned subsidiaries and through both consolidated and unconsolidated joint ventures. In January 2014, it sold of 8700 South Price Road in Tempe, AZ. In September 2014, it completes purchase of 1155 Perimeter Center West, Class-A property located in Atlanta.
